Holiday-Naxos

Life is better .... under a blue sky ....

A little about some of the beaches on Naxos

All of Naxos' beaches are worthy of a visit! This list contains some of the most notable beaches but there are, of course, many others that warrant drive around the island to check them out!

St. George

it is located in Naxos Town, possibility to rent sun beds and parasol, many restaurants right on the beach and very shallow water - kids safe. Possibility of learning to "dance" on a wind surf board and sail a catamaran boat. Perfect for all the families.

Ag. Prokopios

This beach is near Naxos Town (4 km) and is the most beautiful beach in Naxos. The area is filled with hotels, studios, restaurants and bars. Many umbrellas and sunbeds. Showers on the beach, white sand and incredibly amazing water.

Mikri Vigla

A famous windsurfing and kitesurfing beach, which surfers will travel to year after year. Fantastic sand and water and great opportunities to grapple with the wind and sea. Is located at the end of Plaka Beach, only 11 km from Naxos Town.

Kastraki

Here it is still possible to find a place where one can be on your own, enjoying the nature and the fantastic sea. White sand and wonderful colors. It is located 2 km after Mikri Vigla.

Plaka

Probably the most famous beach on the island. Still very natural and undisturbed in the South, but as you move North you will find the opportunity to hire sunbeds and parasols. There are plenty of bars and restaurants open all day long.

Pirgaki

It is about 22 km from Naxos Town. The scenery combines the gold sand dunes with the intense cedar tree vegetation. It is the quiet choice for water sports fans who do not want to huddle up with the crowd. Perfect for a day in total relax and silence! This is the last beach of the island, on the wild south of Naxos.
